While i can't comment on Walnut Creek CDROM's release policy, wouldn't
it perhaps be better for you to get the CVS tree, and upgrade your
machines gradually with whatever bugfixes you might find appropriate?
(I don't say you necessarily need to track -current for this.)

Just an idea... that's what i know other ISPs do.
