In xf86config's card database, select the entry: 25 Cirrus Logic GD543x CL-GD5430/5434 >(--) SVGA: videoram: 1024k You have 1024K of video RAM. Make the appropriate selection when prompted by xf86config. Also, when selecting the X server, choose option 5, "Use server based on card definition". Hope this helps some.
