Hello world,

I'm trying to re-compile sendmail on a FreeBSD 2.1.0 system
(I would like to generate a version that does *not* try to
authenticate incoming email, i.e., #define IDENTPROTO 0).

To establish a baseline, I was looking at the binaries generated
by 'make' (using /usr/src/usr.sbin/sendmail/src/Makefile and
.../Makefile.FreeBSD). I found that both of them differ from
the binary installed with the system!

So, my question is: which makefile is used to generate the
binary that comes with the system -- or am I missing something?

Gerhard
