We upgraded some 2.01 systems to 2.1. The 9GB hard drives attached to them now spout media errors at random times. BSDI support said that they changed some things in the large disk support, and to correct it, the drive needs to be re-formatted (controller level) then re-partitioned and re-newfsed.
