	This gentelman was the first, and so far only person to corectly
diagnose the probelm. I apprecaie this very much. I also appreciate all
the other helpful sugestions.

	At this point I can start X without crashing my machine. 
Unfortunatley the mouse doesn't *work* , it just doesn't crash the
machine. Yes I changed the link to /dev/mouse to what I think is the
correct device for a PS/2 mouse.

	Anyone have any good sugestiosn here ?
