Firt the good news. Through the auspices of a very kind person, I have managed to make my HP Vectra runig FreeBSD star X without crashing the machine. It turns out that Vectras use a PS/2 mouse. Now the bad news. Now that I have X running, I still can't get the mouse to do anything. I have recompiled the kernel with psm0 support Correclty (I think). I have run MAKEDVE psm0, and still no go. Can anyone sugest a way to check the hardwre and software (kernel build etc) without haveing to load windoze on this machine ? Thanks. -- Stan Brown stanb@netcom.com 404-996-6955 Factory Automation Systems Atlanta Ga. -- Look, look, see Windows 95. Buy, lemmings, buy! Pay no attention to that cliff ahead...
