From all the FreeBSD info I have, I only see that FreeBSD has drivers/support for Digi's PC/Xe and PC/Xi series i/o boards only. But, when I visted Digi's web page (www.digi.com), there is a chart of drivers for Unix operating system. They have a column for Linux and FreeBSD. Under the FreeBSD column, the folowing Digi products have "Third Party Driver or operating system vendor supplied and supported driver". (from digi's homepage table) Product .... FreeBSD ============ ... ========== PC/X YES PC/Xe 64k YES PC/Xe 8k YES PC/Xi YES COM/Xi YES PC/Xr YES PC/Xem YES So does FreeBSD have support for the above products? Is anyone using any of the above? Surely one driver does not run them all? We are considering using FreeBSD as our POS platform. I have ported most of the POS source program from Xenix to FreeBSD. Thus we have about 15 Digiboard PC/16e's out there. Also the PC/16em is the next upgrade path from the PC/16e and need to know if FreeBSD has support for the 16em's. Any comments welcomed. BTW I have had FreeBSD for 6 weeks and am very impressed with it all from the install to the networking. No crashes and no surprises. I like the product very much. Thanks, Roger
