Why does everyone seem to believe that, somehow, .overview is more magical then some random article file? Scanning .overview once per group is an order of magnitude less expensive then reading 10 articles in the group. It's in the noise. My newsreader machine is happily wonking away with 250 online nnrpd users with the .overview in the spool. It is NOT a big deal people! There is nothing magical about .overview files. -Matt -- Matthew Dillon Engineering, BEST Internet Communications, Inc. <dillon@best.net> [always include a portion of the original email in any response!]
