After upgrading to freeBSD 2.1.5, the OS no longer recognizes my internal modem on any com port. I have enabled the com3 IRQ 5 sio2 and rebuilt the kernel as well as enabling the port in the boot config. I have no known IRQ conflicts and the modem works fine in dos. I notice lot's of other users with modem and sio problems in the question database. Has anyone here solved the problem ? -- from Dave Blizzard VE3SVL ----------------
