Anyway it all booted fine but I just noticed something odd. tcp_wrappers package added OK, copied tcpd to /usr/libexec, edited /etc/hosts.deny and allow, changed entries in inetd.conf - hup'd inetd (even tried a reboot) and although inetd/tcpd logs connects it does not pay any attention to the deny/allow files. Could someone else check this please. I am trying 2.2-961014-SNAP and its packages off the src.doc.ic.ac.uk mirror. I ran tcpdchk and tcpdmatch - just won't pay any attention to the deny/allow files. I'll get the src and rebuild tcpd but this is kind of weird.
