I have : run Linux in the past, and have created a LILO boot disk where I would simply : pass the parameters "mount aha152x=0x340,11,7,1" to LILO and it would then : boot the system with Linux on the SCSI drive. How can I do something similar : with FreeBSD??? You can either put a boot manager on your bootable drive (OSBS/FBSDBOOT) and select FreeBSD on startup, or type something like 1:sd(0,a)/kernel at the "Boot:" prompt. The '1' is the BIOS drive, the 's' is the disk type, the '0' is the disk number, the 'a' is the FreeBSD logical partition, the '/kernel' is the kernel file. -- Brian <brian@awfulhak.demon.co.uk> <http://www.awfulhak.demon.co.uk/> Don't _EVER_ lose your sense of humour.... .
