Hello all,

Could someone maybe shed some light on this?

The problem is that both my 2.1.5-stable boxes drop their
defaultroute about ten minutes after every reboot. When I
then add it by hand it keeps working fine.

This is the line from my /etc/gateways:
net default gateway router metric 1 passive

This got to be quite annoying :/

My router is a Livingston IRX-111. They are (I think) known
not to broadcast routes very well. But IMHO that should be
no problem with the passive-keyword.

It hurts me to say that my linux-machines work fine :\

Do more people have this problem?

With kind regards,

Frank Ederveen
