Are you sure it's one of these old Sony drives? # for the Sony CDU31/33A CDROM device scd0 at isa? port 0x230 bio (Hmm, no DMA, no interrupts either, this must be a very slow beast, certainly with a separate interface card.) All the newer ones are certainly ATAPI drives.
