Boot loader shows me that kernel and other files are on wd1a (they are in fact on wd2a - I have no wd1 disk). So when I boot wd(1,a)/kernel it panics - can't mount root - quit proper message as there is no disk /dev/wd1a. Question is how can I set root partition to kernel ? (I don't know what options in bootloader do - except -c). I tried -r (root ???) but with no success. I don't want to reinstall system nor to move hardisk to first controler (If I have only ATAPI CD-ROM on second controler it is not recognized - Linux recognize it in all configurations) Wojtek -- +-------------------------------------------------------------------------+ |Wojciech Zwiefka | |Technical University of Gdansk, Faculty of Electronics | |Tel.:+(48) 58 471864 Fax:+(48) 58 472378 | |E-mail:wojtekz@ue.eti.pg.gda.pl || http://www.ue.eti.pg.gda.pl/~wojtekz | +-------------------------------------------------------------------------+
