Everything went smoothly. : : Finally I rebooted, but in the bootmgr only Dos and FreeBSD on the IDE : harddrive appeared. : : And whatever I tried I couldn't boot from the kernel on the scsi disk (I : can mount it, so I know it is there). I tried things like: : sd(0,a)/kernel but it only booted from the wd0 kernel. You need "1:sd(0,a)/kernel". The "1" says that it's BIOS drive 1. I don't think this is documented :( : Does anyone know how I can boot from the kernel on the scsi drive or : better how can I change the bootmgr that it gives the kernel on the scsi : drive as an option? If you installed the bootblocks on the second drive, you should have an F5 option at boot up. If you select this, it should give you an option of BSD on the scsi disk (or F5 back to disk 0). I havn't needed to try this myself, so I'm not sure ;) -- Brian <brian@awfulhak.demon.co.uk> <http://www.awfulhak.demon.co.uk/> Don't _EVER_ lose your sense of humour.... .
