OK, I, too, am somewhat ignorant of this process under FreeBSD. Am I correct that one would first format the diskette with fdformat? Should I then be able to mount it as described above? I just tried that and here's what mount said: PC% !43 sudo mount -rw /dev/fd0 /floppy /dev/fd0 on /floppy: Incorrect super block. PC% Must I put a Unix file system on the diskette to be able to mount it? My recollection is that Suns would mount diskettes with either Unix file systems or DOS formatted ones.
