(I had to do this because I had a bad ISA slot in the ASUS board) I have 2.1.5-REL on a 1.2G western digital IDE drive and now with the new board installed, watching my PC boot I see: wdc0 not found at 1xf0 and a bit later: panic cannot mount root rebooting this happens when I try to boot from my hard disk or from the boot floppy. I thought that motherboards (with built-in IDE controllers) all had the same address. If I have not given enough info here please e-mail me (my news feed is not very reliable) and I'll try to provide as much info as I can. TIA Dave Nakamoto ddtn@ask.or.jp
