The computer is new (a Pionex model number: 5200PMPC-A-V3 [Intel Pentium 200MHz w/ 32MB), and this is my first encounter with Win95. I've been experiencing some software conflicts with my OEM (practically no-name brands) hardware. Sometimes, FreeBSD's BootMgr gets overwritten when I need to perform some operation under the direction of Pionex support to fix a conflict on the Win95 side. How do I go about making a disk that will boot FreeBSD and reinstall FreeBSD's BootMgr without using the CD-ROM's install procedure (which causes a small but irritable lost of information). You would be helping a student of computer engineering through the initial phase of setting up a learning tool to further my education on a practical level. All help would be greatly appreciated. Due to the high level of traffic on my school news server, I'd appreciate it you would reply to my email address. I'll post a summary when a better plan(s) is(are) proposed. Thank you, Jamie -- -- To be truly aware of your effect on others is to be truly conscious. jamie@erinet.com; 40 Newton Drive, Pleasant Hill, OH 45359-9603 (937)676-2856
