 There is a nice ftime() replacement in the Cnews source.  It is in
the "faked-up" library for SysV boxes, but works well on 386BSD.

 Unfortunately, I don't have those sources with me here at work, and my
home machine is currently slugging megabytes of news around the eastern
seaboard, so I can't dial in and grab them.

 Perhaps they should become part of the libcompat.a provided
as part of Terry's excellent patch kit  (TEPK  :-) ).
