While No, the reason that Intel doesen't use this name is because their lawyers have advised them that it would be impossible to copyright. I called Intel several months ago doing research on an article I'm writing, and talked to one of their marketing people about this subject. They told me that the Triton name is meaningless, that anyone can slap Triton on a motherboard and get away with it. They used the Triton name early in the chipset's development as a beta code name, unfortunately it got away from them and got leaked out. I asked about the Triton chipset that didn't support parity memory, the 430FX, and they said that this was no longer in production - that the HX and VX support parity memory. However, motherboard manufacturers can choose to not support it.
