The only problem is, I dont like Linux/Lunix/whatever and I do like BSD. I've paid some incredible cash to BSDI and I cant even get support for a AHA 3940UW. They said they 'will' support it in the next release, however it will ONLY support 7 SCSI devices. THIS IS CRAP. Ive paid too much money to BSDI to be told that the higher end pieces of hardware is not going to be supported correctly. The 3940UW can support up to 15 scsi devices PER BUS.. This is for a total of 30 scsi devices. I was planning a real nice Intel based News server... Having a p200 like yours (256 meg ram) a AHA 2940UW to controll the boot drive and a cdrom, and the AHA 3940UW to controll all the spools. I would also like to setup RAID on the box as well, but I guess BSD wont be able to support ANY of this. You would think with the high costs of bsd/os they would put more time into supporting hardware and fixing the bugs associated with their OS. Guess this isnt going to happen using BSD, maybe I should look into getting Lunix for free.... DB Peter Evans (peter@gol1.gol.com) wrote: : [THIS IS NOT A LUNIX vs BSD TROLL.
