Hi,

I have to configure a dialup line on my machine.
The params should be 8N1 and the getty should be carrier
sensitive, which means to print the banner only when a carrier
is detected and to kill a login process and restart when
	carrier drops.

		1.) It's impossible via std.getty to setup 8N1.
		    Will there be a (un)official replacement ?
I have a hacked version that supports 8N1, but that
seems to be more a hack than a real release.

2.) The getty/the login process is not carrier
sensitive. login holds the line even if carrier dropped.
The getty prints his banner every time when he's
restarted via kill etc. without caring of carrier.

3.) How to get the getty off the line for uucp outdials ?

btw: 4.) Taylor does not work.... /usr/libexec/uucp/uucico
starts and terminates without printing any debug
			 information etc. Any idea ?

THANX for any help. I need a solution of these problems as fast
	as possible.
