I was a bit too hasty in my previous post. Yes, I got the 3C900 to
partially work by hacking the vx driver -- I can ping, telnet, and a
few other things.

But it won't ftp! If I ftp somewhere, I get connected, the `dir' and
`cd' commands work, but if I `get' anything, the ftp just hangs and
all I get is a 0-length file.

Oddly enough, while ftp is hung, I can still ping, telnet, etc. from
another window!

Any suggestions?
