I have been looking for : this answer for a while. : Thanks in advance Log in, become root, then use wall(1) to send a message to all locally logged in users. To send a message to other hosts, use rwall(1). Note that remote machines must have the rwalld RPC server registered in order for this to work. See /etc/inetd.conf for details. -Bill -- ============================================================================= -Bill Paul (212) 854-6020 | System Manager, Master of Unix-Fu Work: wpaul@ctr.columbia.edu | Center for Telecommunications Research Home: wpaul@skynet.ctr.columbia.edu | Columbia University, New York City ============================================================================= "If you're ever in trouble, go to the CTR.
