I am using a solution by Charles Mott (cmott@srv.net). It consists of a set of patches to the user mode ppp. It is very well thought out, and works for telnet, ftp, www, ping, traceroute, and every thing else that I have tried. It is totally transparent requiring no configuration. The install instructions are *very* clear and straightforward. I am extremely pleased with this solution. I would like to see this code included in the FreeBSD base distribution. Linux has this functionality in it's base distribution, although in looking at the docs it doesn't appear to be as easy to use. Is there a good reason not to include this in the FreeBSD distribution? Is it missing some functionality that I am not aware of ? -- Stan Brown stanb@netcom.com 404-996-6955 Factory Automation Systems Atlanta Ga. -- Look, look, see Windows 95. Buy, lemmings, buy!
