Hello,

I'm new to the Unix world and would like to try FreeBSD. I'd like
to install it via ftp but I keep running into roadblocks. I have the
bootdisk, I have my hard disk partitioned and ready to go, and I know
what packages I want. What I don't know (and don't understand) is how
to connect to ftp.freebsd.org or any site to download and install the
OS. I have a USRobotics 33.6 Kbps modem on sio1 (com2). I usually get
as far as where I can type <alt>-f1 or <alt>-f3 to get into and out of
the terminal mode/shell thing (forgive the poor terminology) but nothing
happens. I'd greatly appreciate any help that anyone could offer.
Please email me or I'll check this site.

Thank you in advance,

Blake N. Foster (bfoster@ap.net)
