Hi!

since a lot of people kept asking me for copies of my
hacked getty version, so i've put it up on ref.tfs.com
in /usr/packages/getty.tar.Z.

also, i added a mailing-list called 386bsd_8bit for
discussions on making 386bsd 8-bit clean. please feel
free to add yourself to /usr/aliases/8bit on ref.tfs.com
(log in as guest).

the work still isn't finished, and i don't like
releasing it before i do some further work on
it, but this version of getty is able to set
any character size, parity and some other termios
flags.

also included is a patch for curses which will
inhibit it to set back the tty flags to 7e1.

i'm looking for testers! please mail comments and
bug reports back to me.

so long,
	felix
