OK so I Bought the Walnut Creek FreeBSD Crdom. and installed : it with very few problems. My first problem was when it wen to install : Emacs and it said it had a error. Has anyone else had this? the second : problem that if solved will allow me to just d/l emacs and compile it : on my system is setting up PPP. looking at the freebsd web page it goes : on about installing it using Kermit well Kermit isn't on the cdrom and : thus isn't installed. thus my problem is there another way simple to : set up a PPP connection to my provider? : : If you can email me in private also ;). First, shorten your lines (I've edited the above quote) :( I havn't read this page on the freebsd web page, but I set up ppp by reading the man page and looking at the examples in /etc/ppp/*. Give it a try and post some more specific questions if you have problems. Drop me some email if you want a copy of my config files. -- Brian <brian%anorak.coverform.lan@awfulhak.demon.co.uk> <http://www.awfulhak.demon.co.uk/> Don't _EVER_ lose your sense of humour.... .
