Hi,

why doesn't slattach run correct from rc.local??

I have played around with slattach and everything work except that I can't
put it into rc.local. If I type the command "slattach com3 38400" from the
keyboard as root then slip starts working, but if I put the same command
in rc.local then the forked slattach process dies. If I ping the host at the
other end of the link I get the message "link is down". The only way to set
up the link is by giving the slattach command by hand as root.

Is there a solution or I am doing everything completely wrong????

Thomas
