BTW, my linux system (on same thinkpad) which is somewhat older, i.e more junk consumes 195K, of course I've installed Java JDK, Ghostscript, and other disk hogs, in either case you'll have to be very selective. Interesting is the network performance of Linux is 3X FreeBSD, I plan on running other UNIX benchmarks for fun!
