I am looking for help in connecting another computer to a NetBSD1.2
machine using the serial port. I have a Pentium running NetBSD1.2, and
cannot get another computer connected as a terminal through the serial
port. I can see that getty is running on the serial port using ps after
activiting the port in the ttys file, and an RS232 connection tester
shows that the NetBSD machine is trying to send something to the
terminal, but no login prompt ever appears on the terminal, and the
terminal doesn't appear to be able to send anything to the NetBSD
machine. I have tried using the Windows95 Hyperterminal program or a
Macintosh running Z-term1.01 as the terminal, and have used a null modem
adapter between the two computers. Am I missing something obvious?
Please reply to me be e-mail. Thanks.
