Message-ID: <3043.9211301551@thor.cf.ac.uk> Date: 30 Nov 92 15:51:55 GMT Sender: news@cm.cf.ac.uk (Network News System) Organization: University of Wales College at Cardiff Lines: 327 X-Mailer: Cardiff Computing Maths PP Mail Open News Gateway I'm including the ported software list below, I'll probably post it about once a month, on the first of every month (roughly). I'll also put it on ref.tfs.com and agate for ftp access. When sending me details please use the template below as it makes my life easier. Put the name of the package in the PACKAGE line and the description of what the package is in the description line. The status line should mention how stable the port is, any known bugs should be put in the bugs line. Put the name and email address of the person who did the port in the ported line and the same details of those people willing to maintain the port in the maintained by line. The OS version is the version of 386BSD that the software was ported to, including any useful patch details. The installed at ref.tfs.com line should be either yes or no, depending on whether it is available for use on ref.tfs.com, by available for use I mean you can actually run the package. The requires line should include any other software needed to run/install the package and the notes line can be used for any other relevant details. Any comments good or bad, regarding this list are welcome. I've changed the template slightly and I'll update the format of the existing entries when I get time. Status: fully working Maintained by: Primary: Hiroshi Murakami (mhiroshi@tansei.cc.u-tokyo.ac.jp) Secondary: OS version: 0.1 Installed at ref.tfs.com: YES Available from: ref.tfs.com:/usr/packages/f77-386bsd.tar.Z.uu Requires: Notes: The f2c and f77 are the ATT's developed codes which is quite resembled to THE fortran compiler 'f77' of the Unixen. For the sake of speed, using mathlib-2.1 rather than system bundled /usr/lib/libm.a is desirable. For the C-compiler to compile the c-source code generated by f2c, gcc-2.2.2 or later is recommended, but this is not must. The sys-V clone (?) getopt was added. Some double complex intrinsic functions (Note double complex are not the part of ANSI-f77 standard) are added for the purpose to allow more wide range of fortran source codes. Installation is quite easy. The original version of f2c+f77 for this package are obtained from att's netlib ftp-site in July 1992. -- Paul Richards at Cardiff university, UK. spedpr@uk.ac.cf.thor Internet: spedpr@thor.cf.ac.uk UUCP: spedpr@cf-thor.UUCP or ...!uunet!mcsun!uknet!cf!thor!spedpr +++
