I too have been bitten by this in 2.1.5R. I have made arrangements to
"trade down" to the SMC Etherpower 10 (no fast ethernet) and I can only
hope that they work with the driver in 2.1.5R. I have two older machines
running 2.1.0R that do work with the Etherpower 10 of the same (older)
vintage.

I would love to find a driver patch that works with the new cards, as I
can't write one myself.
