We have our own beta-test group (cross-platform), and carefully control how releases are done, etc. In addition, there is currently a vote being taken to create the newsgroup comp.windows.x.i386unix, where this (and probably the Xview) discussions should be held, if the vote passes (the vote ends 12/2/92 - send votes to x-i386unix@goblin.org). If you want to be involved in the beta test, and can make contributions (i.e. you're not just after early code releases), you can send mail to xfree86@physics.su.oz.au. Note that we don't accept everyone; we need people who are active, and have expertise in new areas, or have hardware we don't currently have access to, etc (I would say that we've accepted over 90% of the applicants). Access to anonymous FTP is mandatory, as is a stable email connection. > -- > Paul Richards at Cardiff university, UK. > > spedpr@uk.ac.cf.thor Internet: spedpr@thor.cf.ac.uk > UUCP: spedpr@cf-thor.UUCP or ...!uunet!mcsun!uknet!cf!thor!spedpr > +++ I'm not trying to minimize the value of your efforts here. It's just that a more appropriate forum already exists for XFree86. And shortly a more appropriate forum for X issues in general should exist. -- David Wexelblat <dwex@mtgzfs3.att.com> (908) 957-5871 AT&T Bell Laboratories, 200 Laurel Ave - 4B-421, Middletown, NJ 07748 "The meaning of life?
