Hi,

I'm trying to get XFree86 v.3.2 to work with FreeBSD 2.1-RELEASE on my
DX4-100. XFree86 v.3.1.2 used to work fine with my old S3Vision864, however
I'd like to get v3.2 to work with my new Diamond Stealth64 Video 2MB VRAM
(3240) graphics card.

After configuring XFree86, the X server (XF86_S3) dies upon startup with
the following error message. Does anybody happen to know why this is
happening? Is it because I am running FreeBSD 2.1-RELEASE rather than
2.1.5?

Thanks,
Rosty.

If the server is older than 6-12 months, or if your card is newer
than the above date, look for a newer version before reporting
