: To make your request for information useful you have to try at least
: how Apache performs on your FreeBSD box. FreeBSD-2.1 is, BTW quite
: outdated. You didn't choose Solaris-2.1, either?

I'm running my ISP on FreeBSD 2.1 machines, with Apache on the WWW server.
I understand that 2.1.6 has better stability and security, hence am
cosidering an upgrade(NOT to 2.2),but this is the first I've heard that
newer versions would make Apache run faster.

Are there any benchmarks for this sort of thing, version vs. version?
