(It works in 800x600 > on all the NEC Versas, but I haven't been able to get it to work on the > ThinkPads). O.K. I hit and didnt miss ... at least to some extent: I just set up a configuration for an "Artist" (OEM?) notebook with TFT 800x600, Chips & Tech. 65548 1MB SVGA, i586/100 32MB. It looks just fine, but I have a very strange problem: When the system load becomes moderate to high, and display action is moderate, someone suddenly kills the server (SIGKILL) and then it hangs locking up the terminal. I guess its the server process itself that raises the KILL signal, and I hope to find the problem with the debugger rather quickly. [about Touchpad and PS/2 mice ] > They are similar, and XFree86 supposedly has support for them directly. runs as a PS/2 mouse w/o any problems. > >* APM problems fixed for FreeBSD now? > Not all of them, but I've fixed some of the bigger ones. As for my APM version you did well! Thanks! Do you have any idea why the X server gets killed? thanks again, -- Gunther Schadow-----------Windsteiner Weg 54a, Berlin 14165, FR.
