Then I recompiled : kernel with sco driver disabled and pcvt enabled. TERM=vt220 after : login, but it still doesn't work correctly. For example Backspace key : prints ^? , I can switch amoung virtual consoles using F9, F10, F11, F12 stty erase <press_the_backspace_key> Should take care of your backspace problems.
