All,

I was trying to install 2.1.6-RELEASE today, and it seems to hang when
trying to configure my 3C595 card. (As an aside, I was quite surprised
when the first screen that popped up was UserConfig, and the
installation notes started talking about hitting F1 and all sorts of
menus. Perhaps the docs should be updated?)

I also tried using 2.1.5-RELEASE, and I get complaints about not being
able to find the eeprom. I've gotten the /bin stuff up under 2.1.5 (by
ftping to an MS-DOS partition, so I know that the card works), but I
can't get any further (and I would rather install via ftp as opposed to
downloading everything).

Has anyone else run into this and has a possible solution/workaround?

I saw in the release notes for 2.2-ALPHA that the 3C595 support has been
improved. Should I go with that instead?

Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks,
Rob
