Try removing /usr/share/man/cat1/gdb.1.gz and doing another "man". If
you ctrl-c a "man ...", you can end up with a half-written cat version.
Dunno about the info stuff - "cd /usr/src/gnu/usr.bin/gdb; make all install" ?
