After doing a "mount -u /" and "mount /usr".

If you have a boot time of zero (or have marked your console as insecure
in /etc/ttys), you'll have to boot from a floppy and use the fixit floppy
to mount your root partition and change your password.

Keep in mind, if you go this route, you'll probably need to mount / and
/usr and then chroot onto the resulting filesystem before doing anything
like "vipw".
