Microsoft Word 6.0 and/or Windows95. We are using FTP Software's OnNet client software. The problem occurs, for example, when the users on their PCs are trying to set their default directory in Word. Word refuses to let them do it and gives them an "illegal directory" message. "Regular" access to the mounted directories (e.g., saving Word documents) works fine. This function works correctly if the NFS server is any other type of UNIX workstation (Sun, SGI, HP) or a Novell server. An other place where the (same?) problem shows up is when under Windows95 the OnNet software lists the exported directories from all of our servers. Again, all the NFS- exported directories from our workstations show up, but not the ones from the FreeBSD machine. Accessing the FreeBSD-exported directories from the other UNIX workstations works without problems. Any ideas?
