ATX (should) refer only to the form factor and mounting of the motherboard.  
ATX motherboard will require a special case, and probably a special  
power-supply, although the Gigabyte I have doesn't use the ATX power  
connectors. The USB stuff is probably not supported by much of anything yet,  
and I've personnaly not seen any real devices that use it. I believe the Venus  
uses a standard PS/2 keyboard and mouse...Although I don't actually have one  
sitting around to verify it ;^>
