Here is the breakdone: Logfile excerpts: Tue Dec 3 10:12:24 1996: user_find: Parse error for user dave in /usr/local/lib /radius/raddb/users (DBM reply) Tue Dec 3 10:12:24 1996: rad_authenticate: from monster.lazerlink.com - Problem in user_find Tue Dec 3 10:12:24 1996: Authentication: 177/6 'dave' via monster.lazerlink.com from monster.lazerlink.com port 1 auth - FAILED Authentication failure^M^J These were all in a row. Now this is telling me that my users file is unable to be parsed and that dbm had the problem. here is a sample of my users file: dave Password="test" User-Service = PPP, Framed-Protocol = PPP eof Radius fails to load the users into memory but has no trouble loading the authfile or the clients file. I am using the freebsd port of merit radis version 2.4.33 something. The latest one I guess. The freebsd port package went and got it by itself. Thanks for any help you can give.
