Are these the same nuns who prounounce 'C' like 'S' when it precedes 'I' or 'E'? Being a dead language, Latin has been subject to some rather creative pronunciation schemes in the last millenium. Since the term "daemon" was first applied to a certain class of computer programs by English speakers, one might expect an English dictionary to be the appropriate authority on its pronunciation -- mine all say it's pronounced just like "demon". --- chris
