I've configured my kernel : for sound (sb0), and IDE ATAPI support (/dev/wcd0c, wcd0), BUT for some : reason, it won't play audio cds, because it claims /dev/rcd0c is not : configured. /dev/[r]cd* are SCSI CDROM devices. ;) Try /dev/wcd0c or /dev/rwcd0c :-) cd /dev; ./MAKEDEV wcd0 Set the environment variable CDPLAY to "/dev/rwdc0c". It should work now. BTW, try first the normal "cdplay" or "cdplayer". There are more chances that these are working then xmcd. xmcd always refused to work with my Mitsumi CD-ROM. Now with a SCSI one, there are no problems. If you want to try with xmcd, try: xmcd -dev /dev/rwcd0c Pascal -- Pascal.Gienger Zentrale Rechner Rechenzentrum Universität Konstanz @uni-konstanz.de Voice: +49 7531 16074 Fax : +49 7531 20370 WWW : http://www.geocities.com/WestHollywood/1381/ Das Wort "WINDOWS" stammt aus einem alten Sioux-Dialekt und bedeutet: "Weißer Mann starrt durch Glasscheibe auf Sanduhr."
