In a fit of braindeath, I created netbsd 1.2 upgrade floppies on my 1.1 system, using dd(1)-- i did fine except that I wrote the data to /dev/fd0*c* rather than fd0a. The floppies had the data-- but the bios can't boot from anything but fd0a. So, if you created your floppies from a unix box, be sure you wrote the disk images to fd0a. tea-4.2 >> tee(1) I'll have to ask the contract agency if I can opine.
