Get the sources of netdate and compile it on your BSD machines. I use
netdate on FreeBSD to get the correct time from a Linux machines with
a dcf77 atomic clock.
netdate is nice and easy and doesn not need the hard configuration like
xntpd.
The only thing to be considered is to run netdate on Free(Net)BSd with the
tcp parameter and to change the service entry on the time host to
time	37/tcp	timeserver

the default for netdate is using the udp port. So call "netdate tcp MACHINE"
and everything will work fine.
