Rumor has it that the latest version of WINE runs Word 6 to some
degree.  Microsoft has a standalone Word viewer that I would guess to
be much less demanding than word itself.  Alas, I can't easily try it
as my  hard drive with windows stuff on it was just taken out to build
another computer.  :(
