It crunched for a while and finally told me that it was already installed on my machine ?. Unfortunately it alos broke my working fvwm. /usr/X11R6/bin/fvwm was dated yesterday, so I replaced it with none from a bacjup tape. Still didn't work correctly . so I looked arund a little and wound up replacing /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fvwm (the whole directory) off the tape also. Still doesn't work. I have checked and my ~/.fvwmrc file is the same onethat I had working before this. The symptom is that fvwm is started up from xdm, and puts 2 X terms in the lower right hand corner of the scree. There are now mouse menus, no virtual screen manager etc. It looks like fvwm is not corectly reading my .fvwmrc file. Any sugestions on how to fix this? Have I missed restoring something that i should have? Can I just re-install the package from the CD? I would appreciate any advice on this.
